Default Tranny moving slightly and clunking???

Recently my tranny has been doing some weird things.

First off if was replaced shortly after I got the car, about 15,000 miles ago.

Now, if I come out of first gear aggresively (not a launch) it seems to move to the left. I can feel it and see the shifter move about 2" towards me. I can hear it quite well and it is coming from the tranny tunnel. Also, if I am doing a left turn from a stop it does it also.

The sound is like a clunking, like something is loose and banging around.

I already took it to the dealer and even re-created the noise for the tech and he heard and felt it, but couldnt find any problems and blamed on my jack being loose in the trunk.

I do have a Cusco RS lsd and I've had it in for a while now, so I know what the diff feels and sounds like. This noise is coming from direclty under the shifter next to the seats.

I took it to the shop that installed my LSD and they think it could be a bad tranny mount? We didnt have time to put it on the lift, so I'm going back this weekend to check it out further.

Has anyone had any issues with the mounts? The noise seemed to start after a track event I did last month. If I drive gently I can go without hearing it at all, so it isnt very promanent, and it only does it out of first. Shifting in the other gears is fine. No grinding, or other odd noises.

Sorry for the long post and thanks for the help!

It could be tranny mount or engine mounts also. U have to get the car off the ground and gently jack in the 3 locations and see if u have a bust. Lot of times with the rubber valcanized mounts its not visible less u put a little presssure on them. Double chk the bell housing bolts also ---Also just for a laugh --chk the bracket assy that holds the shifter in place.
Im kind of a firm believer in urethane mounts and the solids are available for the motor---Have a friend thats running them with no real vibration prob and also --some lower the motor enough where u can go with a taller Plenum/Space and keep the stock strut Bar
