Over the past week my CD player has been skipping. Not all the discs but only discs located in the 4th, 5th, and 6th slots. It all started when the 3rd CD was transitioning to the 4th and I heard the motor grind and a pop. For the first couple days, I would remedy this problem by just ejecting the disc and placing it back into the headunit. Now it just seems to skip non-stop in those last 3 slots.

I do have a question. I had the headunit replaced the second year I owned the car. I was wondering if the headunit is still covered even though I've owned the car for over 3 years? So basically does the warranty on the headunit restart whenever they replaced it with the new one?

 

A decent dealer "Yes"! According to Nissan it is a one year warranty from time of replacement. I would report it to 800-NISSAN1. My 4th unit was on BO so long I finally installed an Eclipse AVX2494. Great unit, plus with 4ch Adjustable Line Converter, woke up the Bose Speakers. The sound is awesome!
