I have a cf hood too and I was actually thinking about these covers. Do you not like the way they look?

Instead of ripping them off, why not just swap with someone with the same color car that may want it? Once you rip them off, chances are they will be trashed cause getting them off won't be easy especially with the 3M stuff.

Yeah that could be a tough process with the 3m tape. There is a reason people use that stuff because it works. Is there a way to take the mirror housing off? Maybe soaking them in hot water might help

Carefully use a heat gun to soften and loosen the 3M tape.
