Question Is feathering an early-build problem?

Is it now the consensus that the feathering problem is confined to the early build cars, ie cars built before October '02?

Yes, I would like to know if there is anybody that doesn't have a problem with there tires feathering or car pulling to the right? If so what model do you have, how many miles, when was the car made or when did you buy it?

I was told by the Nissan rep that they had built in a Toe out in the first couple of months of production. Mine was Jul 02 build VIN 573.

All four wheels were out so I was going straight just wearing out the inside of the tire, found it at around 5,000 miles.

Mine was just on the verge of being toe out, but Nissan's fix for it now is to swap the front tires left <> right. Unfortunately the damage to the tires are already done, and from what I hear, the feathering continues even after the alignment. Nissan is "aware of the problem", but has yet to issue a permanent fix for it...
