Im again reminding people that I started this to see if there was a corralation between the 009 that has the inline orifice in the hydraulic feed line (Restricting? Dirty ? )and the 008 that does not have the orifice

Dont all 06's come with the 009, or are there some with the 008? Might be a stupid question, but whats an orifice, and whats the difference b/w the orifice on a 009 or 008. I know one has it and one doesnt, but what does it do and what does it look like. Again sorry if its a dumb question, I just dont know.

Sounds like a foolish question but its really not because I have seen it too many times where manufacturers dont follow a sequence-----The 009 is the later tranny ,right ?

I dont have the sticking clutch prob, but so many do , I got curious ---I know clutchs and clutch systms having worked on and installed more than I can remember and have gone through the oddities that pop up---The Z prob was different.

That being said ---an orifice if generally a restictor to control flow ---Brakes use them as do lube systems on some FI systems. etc etc.
And I was wrong --it was on the 008s. I forgot. But matters not ----If they replace the tranny with an 009 and dont replace the Hydr line , u still have the orifice. Pressure from ur pedal forses fluid through the orifice, but there is less pressure on the return, I thought maybe causing the "stuck" pedal prob due to a resticted orifice

Thanks for the explanation, so getting rid of the orifice could stop the problem. Would it be on the clutch line below the car, or around the master cylinder? What does it look like?

I havent a clue ---I just propossed it as a possibility to those affected. Mainly because it was never addressed before ----- There were no real answers. And someone may get Hurt someday. This is not a good thing to happen in the wrong place.
The orifice is located on the line from the Master cyl. to the Slave Cyl.
It would be obvious to someone looking for it. If u dont see it , u dont got it

I wonder if the fluid being really foggy has anything to do with it. It looks like it has white-ish foggy/cloudy stuff in it. Ive read about going with a dot 4 fluid to stop the fluid from boiling, but I dont want to touch anythying untill I taker her to the dealer in a few weeks.

Sounds like u have a little moisture in there. Brake fluid attracts it like crazy. If u want to do it ur self, just gravity bleed it and add a higher quality fluid as it gets low in ur resivoir. DONT let it run dry ! Eventually the fluid dripping out of the bleeder will be clear and ur set to go. When u bleed, especially gravity, tap ur slave cyl. with a small hammer to dislodge any air clinging to the interior. Same goes for Calipers.

BTW--- I pull as much of the old fluid out with a turkey baster or syringe at the beginning to speed things up.

Just got back from the dealer today. I took the tech. for a ride, and showed him how the pedal doesnt come back up. They adjusted it and now it feels great. Its not spongey and chattery anymore. and no more pedal sticking!!!

Great !!! Maybe it is just a question that axis point being too "perfect" and an offset, via adjustment, does the trick. Let us know !!!

Ill let you guys know if it sticks again, but so far so good. Tech. said it had too much freeplay, and caused it to not come up all the way. I figured it was a hydraulic problem...guess I was wrong.
