If u get a tin foil hat with "rabbit ears" ur shock treatment will come to an abrupt end---Plus u will be shiny and look knowledgable----Trust me.

Please follow up with a success report.

Once your foot hits the ground and your out of the car the charge wont have a chance to jump and shock you as long as the hand stays on metal. There are web sites dedicated to this just because it sucks so bad.
Thanks. Used "search" and read through all the crap replies to find yours. I always get shocked getting out of my Z and was actually thinking of a grounding kit (and I really don't want to add anything to my Z) but now I will try this instead.

this is what i use to keep from getting shocked. it may sound crazy but i keep a used dryer sheet in the car. if it is a day when the static is bad, i rub that over my seats and the plastic parts of the car. be sure to use one that is used, otherwise it will leave a white residue. since doing this i have not been shocked getting out of my car.
