Default early morning squeek

this morning was the first morning i had my car..

i cranked her up.. headed out for a cup of coffee.. 1 minute into it and i hear this terrible loud squeek.. i mean this crap was loud.. after about 1 minute it went away..

i am thinking it's the ProCharger (ATI C2) belts.. i checked them for tension and it seems "fine".. i also read where people were saying the "tracking" may be off..

any ideas on how i check this? Any ideas on what this could be? The belts all have plenty of "meat"..

any help is appreciated.

Thanks - Will

your belts can have plenty of meat, but still cystalize. Have you spilled any kind of fluids on them recently. Sometimes just changing the belt is the easiest thing to do.

yeah.. i was looking through the paperwork that was in the car and found the prior owners name and phone number.

Dropped him a call and pinched his brain.. what a ease of mind it is to actually talk to the prior owner and hear about the cars history.. he gave me the whole low down on the car.. and as far as the belts, you were correct.. he said the serp belt just needed to changed.. *phew*

thanks for the input man... this website and the people here have been amazing with help and info.

I actually just experienced a "morning squeek" as well.... On my way to wok I noticed a high pitched, fast chirping-like squeek. After about 10 minutes it was gone..... The only fluid I could think that may have gotten on my belts is some coolant, when my TN kit was installed. Any helps guys??
