Default alignment using sensors with metal clamps

I just put on some Volk time attack wheels and they have that red stripe (which is very weak paint by feel) that will come in to direct contact with the sensor clamps that firestone uses to align my car. Does anyone know of something sold online to prevent wheel damage? I've been thinking about a ghetto rig but i'm not sure what material to use.. I guess it doesn't really matter as long as it provides sufficient protection and doesn't move during the alignment.

If your firestone is using a Hunter alignment machine, like most of the civilized world, they should have rubber feet that take the place of the claws.

they don't have rubber feet
They are metal tabs...
maybe i can buy some rubber housing for them to put on the tabs/clamps...

Well, it's good to know that most shops use sensors with rubber feet... worst come to worst i can pay but that really kills the purpose of my lifetime alignment

Sorry should be more specific. Hunter normally provides rubber feet as an accessorie. I.E. the claws come off and the rubbers snap on in place of them. They don't come permanantly preattached. Hopefully they can find them.
