Default Rear hatch / Trunk Thud

So I did search and found a few different conflicting threads. I don't usually post threads like this so any help is appreciated. For the last couple weeks I've noticed that while driving over speed bumps are rough roads I here this thunk/thud noise from the rear of the car. It sometimes even happens on a fairly smooth road. It sounds like its coming from the rear hatch but I opened it up to look at it and couldn't really pinpoint the cause. Its the same sound you would get if the hatch wasn't fully closed and you drive off but it is closed in my case. I tried lifting on it and its definitely latched. I tried checking to see if the springs had adjustments but they don't. Its not my spare tire or tools as they are secured the same as they were the day I got it from the factory. I saw something mentioned about the rear hatch shocks and I'll check that tongiht but are there any other idea?

On a side note I have a squeek from the front passenger side of the car as well that is also driving me nuts. It doesn't happen when the car is cold started. After driving for a while I hear it squeak off and on over bumps in the road and when I park after driving for more then 5-10 minutes its a constant squeek. The belts look good and if it was them i would expect it most during cold starts... I checked the suspension and everything else but everything appears in order.. Any help is appreciated..

for the hatch, I had a similar problem and it turned out that the plastic interior panel that covers the rear wiper motor was a little loose. The vibrations were causing a deeper sounding thud than i would have anticipated, so i had trouble determining the origiin. Check the panel...mine was not visibly loose, but the sound was def coming from it.

Thanks for the heads up but this squeak is DEFINITELY coming from outside the passenger compartment. Front passenger side corner seems to be the source... Strut, spring, a arm, all tight and check out. I had the car on a lift last weekend and checked those along with the sway bar....all tight as they can be....
