Default ISO spare under-engine shroud

I am very new to this forum and own a 350z with 2100 miles on it.

Recently a hit a nasty bump and damaged both the under-engine shroud and the front bumper. In fact, several of the hooks for the shroud to the underside of the bumper were broken.

A friend of mine told me several people are removing their under-engine shroud (for performance reasons I suppose?).

If you remove yours, before you toss it, I'd like to offer you a minimal price for it to replace mine.

It looks like I'll need to talk to a body shop to see if they can work with the plastic that the bumper is formed from. I checked with Nissan and a replacement front bumper/grill piece is 219 bucks, unpainted.

Thanks for any and all responses, suggestions, etc.

David

Removing the shroud will decrease performance as well as increase the wear on engine components.
