My driverside window was working fine and I parked my car and went to the bank, OI came out and I was only in there for 5 min and when I opened my door I noticed that It didnt roll down a little to seal against the rubber, then I turned my car on and it would not roll down, What happend? after 30 min went by I tried it again and it worked, Should I bring it to the dealer?

 

Were you depositing or withdrawing at the bank?

You need a new motor. I found one on ebay actually for $110 and replaced it myself. Unless your car is under warranty, dealer will charge you close to $400!!!
You can find the window motor for about $190 in some web sites.

try holding the window switch down and slam the door it should go down then, but yea you will need to get it fixed. i have already replaced both of mine.

 

Slaming the door does work.
My problem started by window not going up.

 

yea my passanger wouldnt go up and the driver wouldnt go down.

haha i love the 100K mile warrenty i got with it replaced tranny, 2 window motors, and rear tires with the tire warrenty i got for free also.

yea i've got every bit of that 950 bucks i paid for it out of them. the funny thing is i put a nismo clutch and flywheel in with the tranny when the replaced it, and they put it in for free. but i didnt realize what the chatter was at first so they changed the tranny 2 more times before they figured out that it was normal with the clutch and flywheel.

 

Tire warranty?

 

Which extended warranty did you get? I have the gold plan which cost me $50 to have the window motor replaced. Looks like a worth wile investment now.

 

yea i have the gold i piad $50 for the second window motor but not the first.


yea the dealership i bought my car at offered free tires for life, if you rotated your tireds there and got alingments there. i had the sales man put the nitto nt555's on the contract. but it i couldnt lower the car unles i used the nismo s-tune otherwise i would void that warrenty. so i got the rear tires for free after about 45000 miles. but it was such a pain i said screw it and lowered a week after i got my new tires. they wouldnt give me the same tires so they gave me the cost of the tires i had i and got kuhmo's instead. unfortunatly i had to buy the fronts out of pocket.

 

This is hardly a surprise.

 

It works now but you think I should stil take it to the dealer to get fixed?, how long did it take them to fix yours? Also I did buy that extended warranty so I hope its no charge or just a small sur charge

 

Ah crap, my passenger window sticks too. If it goes all the way up or all the way down it sticks. I was going to take the door apart and lube it. I have to pound on the door to get it to work too. Sounds like I'm one of the million others that needs a new motor.
