So my alarm is going off about every 2 hours...nothing like hearing some obnoxious honking echoed by the garage at 3am. So recently I have had a nismo V1 kit put on, as well as, a CF hood. Could the hood be causing this? I have heard there is facory connection to a hood pin. Any diagrams of help would be appreciated. If it is the hood is there any way to turn just the hood off, whlie keeping the alarm for the doors/hatch. I'd rather try to do this myself rather than take it to the nissan dummies who recently used an impact gun to put the bolt back into the oilpan on my mom's altima. (dumb *****) ...any help would be appreciated.........drew

 

Probably because the hood sensor isn't contacting the hood (it is the rubber spring-looking mechanism in the front passenger corner). My aftermarket alarm stopped working alltogether until we disconnected this and replaced it entirely with a mercury level sensor.
