so i just got my 03 z. love it but the sh!tty part is that it makes a weird buzzing noise around 2000-2100 rpm? any ideas what it might be?

 

What does it sound like and where is it coming from?

 

its comin from the engine.

 

the engine? Be more specific are you sure its not your dash board? Z's are notorious for a rattling dash boards mine does it like a moo foo

 

As the others say where is the noise coming from. Can you isolate it, then we can help.

I've just had a heat shield fixed as it was making the most awful loud vibrating almost naisal noise around 2000rpm.

 

i know it's not the dash bc i can tell what it sounds like..it's definitely comin from the engine. it's mainly when i kinda ease up around 2000-2100 rpm..it's a really annoying buzzing sound..like one of those buzzer on the game shows..lol

no it's not the belt..

 

I have the same problem. The sound will only happen at around 2100 rpm not before and not after. You can hear that when you accelerate and the rev hit 2100 rpm. Once passed 2100 rpm it disappears. It sounds like engine resonance.

I also have that noise in 2000 rpm once it goes past that. It goes away. u can only hear it when yur driving. If u park and rev it to 2000 rom u wont hear it. Sound like a exhaust fart kinda noise.
