Hi, did anyone repair yourself for the Rear Axle clicking noise? How much will it be for the repair if I have to bring it to a garage? I did the research on this within the forum, but I could not get the dealer to fix it. So I just want to get it done myself or some garage to do it. If anyone had did it before, please advise.
all they do is regrease it and torque the bolts like a half a turn more, as far as parts i think all you need is some cotter keys, and some new bolts? why would the dealer not fix it??? it's a TSB
I am not technical enough to tell if it is the clutch, but the sounds seems coming from rear passenger side..it goes on and off..and lately is louder and louder...
i have the same problem too, and i have a o6 !!! ive taken it to the dealership twice and they told me since there is no tsb for a 06 cant fix the problem !! and of course these z techs are usually old guys who just came from buick!!!! go figure !!!!!

Rear axle clicking is a very distinctive sound. Nissan mechanics know it well. Your problem is not poor service, but simply cannot duplicate. Intermittent problems are difficult to diagnose and repair.
MY 03 Z is out of warranty. Has anyone here paid for this fix? Or know what to expect...? Thanks guys. New here!!
Yeah, I ran out of warranty as well, it was $220 parts and labor at the Nissan dealer to fix the rear axle clicking. Not too bad considering they got me a brand new long block overnight from Japan due to heavy white smoke out the back...
