Help with my acceleration PLEASE!!!
Hi guys,
I need some help and some good advice PLEASE. Starting yesterday, while I was driving, I noticed that my acceleration was POOR...at all speeds, especially when in 5th and 6th gear. I felt the RPMS rising, but I didn't really feel much speed being applied to the wheels. It kinda feels like I'm traveling at 60mph on a freeway in netural while reving the engine. Anyways, I took it into the Nissan dealership and they were talking about my MAF sensor. They ran some tests and they didn't show anything wrong. However, they said the problem was most likely the sensor.
So I read up on the forums and found this:
i suspect you used too much oil and the oil contaminated the MAF sensor.
i'd try to clean the MAF first and see what happens.
That would cause drivability issues at all speeds, and possibly poor idle... This sounds like a different issue
Can anyone offer me some advice as to what they think is the problem and perhaps give me some ideas as to what I should do. When I tried explaining this to the dealership they looked at me like I was crazy and nothing was wrong.
