My passenger window keeps getting stuck, when I punch the door 3-4 times it lowers and works until I turn off the car or lower it all the way down. I dont think its the motor thats faulty, anyone have the same problem?

 

yes. Resetting the motor worked when that happened to my passenger side. My driver's side required a new motor. Just take the door panel off and roll the window down whiling holding down the button in the middle of the door.

 

The motor is going bad. These are the first symptoms.

Yeah definatly. The motor is going bad. I had to punch mine also.

 

All of the sudden the passenger window drops down about 1/4 of the way after I pull it up. I have to hold the power window button up for a few seconds once it hits the top in order to keep it from dropping again.

 

I just noticed this last week. I banged the door as well and it started working.

It's time for 45k service anyhow. [sigh]

what da hell is wrong with the freaking windows....it<s my second motor i<m byuing...... my driver window is always stuck...i have to punch the door panel like 4 to 6 times before i can open the window...... u have the same problem^^^ .. is it the motor the problem????

 

SEARCH. But yes its the motor. They tend to go bad.

 

is there anyone who can tell me where can i get these freakin window motor...for a good price.....instead of buying them from the dealer (to expensive)...it's my second one i'm changing....

Get them at any auto parts store. The big chain stores sell the same one and the motors come with a lifetime warranty.

 

can find them at the auto parts.... only at the dealer man!...and im from montreal so guess how much it is.... its 500 freakin dollar...only the window motor... now i,m thinking of cleaning it...some guys did that ...aparantly its works....any ideas how to clean a window motor...?????

 

i have the same problem.. i'm going to take the passenger door off and clean the little brushes. they get clogged up with carbon fibre dust. use some compressed air

 

Wow I just realized that punching my door might have made it worse, it clicks now and will not move up or down, how hard is it to replace the window motor?? How long does it take to do? Is it sticking to something or is the motor it self going out??

my driver side window does this. If you will just push down a little bit, while they are stuck, then use the switch it always works for me.

 

i just cleaned my window motor and it works fine, however whenever I auto roll it up they go all the way up and then go 1/4 way back down. They never used to do that, can anyone help me out? thanks
