I had the same problem. My passenger side window was going halfway down, then back up, then when it goes up, it would go all the way down...and then it completely stopped working.

I bought a window motor from a junk yard. I just got done taking apart my door panel and the aluminum panel that holds the window motor. I dried the old one and it wasnt working, i unplugged the old one and plugged the new one in, and it worked fine. I replaced it (3 phillips head screws) and put screwed it along with the window sliders back onto the aluminum plate.

It was working great, going up and down no problem, except when i shut it, it would not automatically move up that quarter of an inch to create a seal. So what i did was just some common sence (Maybe wrong), i held the window motor switch and i put the window down and then put it back up and i let the switch go. Then i shut it and it moved up that 1/4 inch automatically. It was working great, i opened and closed it about 20 times to be sure it was good.

I went over to get the door panel ready to put on. After about 5 minutes i went back, ready to put the door panel on, and i just opened and shut it for the last time, and it did not move. I tried putting the window up and down and it would not work. I tried unplugging, unscrewing, nothing worked. Then i pushed the button in, and i tried putting the window up/down, it brought it all the way down and now its completely stuck and will not move, no matter what i do...

I am sick and tired of this and just want it to work! I hope i didnt blow the new window motor

yeah, I just cleaned my motor instead of buying a new one and it seems to be working fine except the fact that it comes half way down after it goes up. How do you get it to stop coming down? It also doesn't do the window burp, is my motor on its last leg or did I re-assemble it wrong?

Dude, if it's clicking it's on its way out. Leave it in the up position. Buy one from AutoZone for 176.00 minus 40.00 core, with lifetime warranty and change it out yourself.

If you need help, pm me and I can guide you through it.

yeah its not that hard to do, I just flinged it and I had no problems. Does anyone know how to get the window to stop going half way down beside changing the motor??

If you read in owners manual you will see that when the window lowers that 1/4 of an inch, it is designed to do that to ensure a good seal. But like all you others i am banging on the top of my window too.

I spent a total of 8 hours on my driver side window, I ordered the AutoZone motor and still it's not going up, I don't get any response from the old or new motor. The only thing I noticed was that when I would close the door or push the up and down button for the driver side window, there would be a clicking from the up and down button. The passenger side does not click at all.

I'm trying my hardest to avoid going to the stealership, but I'm starting to think that it's more than the motor, maybe the switch or harness.

PLEASE, PLEASE, someone help me!!!!!!!

This just started happening to me...my passenger side window doesn't go up sometimes. What I do is open and close my passenger door right after I pull the drivers side (passenger side switch)...the jarring causes it to go back up. I don't have none of that up and down stuff...it just doesn't go back up sometimes...like I said.
