Default Should I go ahead with the Bose amp TSB fix?

from the searches.. half said it worked better.. but the other half says they've lost bass control. Has anyone done the Bose amp TSB fix recently? Can you give me a review of the new amp? Also, the 0.99 fix seems to work only with the newer amps. haven't tried it yet tho.

I had mine replaced about a month ago. Generally it is better then the constant booming that occured all the time. The deep bass as been reduced but you can crank it up if you're into that kind of listening.

Since you got your car in December are you sure you fall into the TSB parameters?

Also what's this 0.99 fix you mentioned?

Thanks for the link. I'm not really into Audio mods so I don't view that forum. Interesting findings though.

I have done both.

The TSB gets you an amp that is programmed differently. Before the TSB I could not hear the radio at all. After, you can hear it (bass is reduced), but you also loose some power and the stupid volume up-down (pilot thing) keeps driving you nuts.

The 0.99 fix gets the volume pilot to stay put, thus letting you adjust your volume and not having it go up down and everywhere. It might have an effect on tone, but I personally can't notice it much.

Neither is a perfect solution. But I think the solution will be another amp or reprogram of your amp, so having the TSB amp won't matter.

so you think i shouldn't waste my time with the TSB then?? I have $0.99 to spare so I might just try that instead.
