Default Is the Dealer Full is crap, or am i in the clear?

I have been experienceing heavy oil consumption in the last few months as well as smoke upon accell and decell. I took it to the dealer yesterday and he ran some tests and had his tech look at it. I have strup test pipes, so the frist thing that he said was that he could not work on it even if there was a problem. I saw that coming, but then he said that due to the lack of back pressure from removing the cats, my pcv valve is not able to scavenge the oil and work properly, therefore passing oil through the exhaust and causing both heavy oil consumption and a smokey drive. I was worried that i had blown a head gasket, but he said that everything looked fine.

This makes sense to me, but what do you guys think?

I have 73,000 mkiles on the engine and am using about 2 qts per 3,000 miles. Modifications are in my sig and i use mobil1.

I drive my car about 80 miles or so a day, and most of it is cruising at about 70 mph on a country road.

Finally, if this is true is it safe for me to get back to the track? I am going nuts waiting.

TECHNICALLY, they can't refuse service until they can figure out whatever problem has occured is due specifically to any mods you've done to your car - that is if you're still under warranty.
