Ok i have a 2003z with 75k miles, and i went to start it and it wouldnt turn over.....the battery is fine, as thats the first thing i checked.

I have had this problem before and it was because the fobs for my other car were iterfering with the Z's security system and wouldnt let the car start, but since then i have a new set of key rings just for the Z.

i called the dealership and spoke to a mechanic over the phone, he said it was either the antennae(sp), or the HCB computer or somethin like that.

How could it be the antennae, or are there different ones other than for the radio?

And what is the HCB computer.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Unscrew your antenna, take it to the dealership, and slap the tech with it really hard in the back of the leg.

.... then try to start the car and see if it works.

 

If it wont turn over at all, check your wiring around the air intake. If thats fine, you may have more serious electrical issues.

Don't laugh but I've done that. Was preoccupied, for a second I thought there was something wrong with my car but only for a second.

 

maybe it is the starter? spark plugs? combustion issue maybe.

 

Maybe some kinda fuel delivery problem?
