Default Squeeky clutch

At first, the squeek was from my seat. Then later it came back and now it's my clutch. When depressing and pressing it, it squeeks. It can be heard outside which is pretty embarrasing. Should i get soem lithium grease and spay the spring behind the pedal? Can it be anything else? my friend said it could be a throw out bearing.

A lot of Z's encounter this legendary squeak. I claimed it was a throw out bearing also, but Throw out's going bad do more of a squeel like a belt somewhat not so much of a squeek. At one time i pulled the transmission boot back and shot some joint lube up in there, pumped the clutch a few times and it went away. Lasted probably 2 weeks and it was back. Not much you can do for it other than replace the entire clutch. Mine has been squeaking for probably 20k miles now with no problems.... sad but true.

I have had the same problem for 15k miles. The clutch is still very strong even though I have 82k miles on the car. I took it to the dealer and they charged me $40 to regrease it. They said you are good to go, plenty of mileage left in your clutch. Just come back every 20-30k miles for us to regrease it. Unfortunately 200 miles later it returned. The strangest part is that I will go days without any squeeking and then it returns for a few days. I can't complain though, 82k miles and the only real issues I have had are a few rattles (who hasn't), a periodic squeeking clutch, and some grease streaks on the windows....

I had a problem with the actual clutch pedal squeeking, little white silicon fixed it for me.

Where did you pick up the silicone? Where exactly did you apply it, any photos perhaps? How long have you been sqeak free now?

Thanks,

You can pick it up at Wal-Mart or any parts store. I just sprayed it on the top of the clutch pedal assembly (dont get it on the pedal). I have been squeek free for a full year. I dont know if your problem is the same as mine, but that took care of it for me.

I basically had a noise coming from the pedal itself, not from the clutch.
