I'm not sure if anyone has encountered the problem I have, but here it is. When I open my driver side door, with the ignition on or off, key in or out, the winow goes down a few inches. For some reason, every time the dome light switch is depressed then released, my window problem occurs. Can anyone help me remedy this problem, short of going to the dealer?

 

It's suppose to go down a few inches when you open the door and when you close the door it goes back up. But if your window stays down then theres a problem.Take it to the dealer. Window problems are common on the Z33.

 

actually it is supposed to drop about 1/2" to 3/4"-- just enough to clear the weather stripping. If it drops a few inches then you have a problem. This, like above poster said, is a common problem. Some have fixed themselves by replacing or cleaning the window motor which gets plugged with dirt/dust.. in some cases it is the motor regulator which senses a sticking problem and reverses the motor.
