Default My Car's Tire Feathering Update

My vin is 725 I have a Touring 6spd.

At about 5000 miles I noticed tire feathering and finally got Nissan to give me an alignment and new tires at 6700 miles.
Tires were shot (terrible feathering) and no RE040's available so they gave me new S03's all around.

Tire alignment (toe) was way out both front and back, but only front showed any signficant problems.

Soooo now I have about 2400 miles on the S03's and so far they look GOOD! Now since my feathering did not even show until 5000 miles the first time I am not holding my breath that the problem is fixed. I will be watching the tires closley.

Also, the S03's did nothing to help the bounce, but do have much better dry and wet traction. They grip pavement like a panhandler grabbing a $20.

Cheers,

Ja

How were you able to get Nissan to authorize S03s? I was told that I have to wait for the RE040s...

Default Tires from Nissan

It was more my dealer then anything. I think the dealer told Nissan that the tires were so bad they needed to be replaced right away.

I guess Nissan said as long as it is the same brand of tire they did not care which ones were used for replacement so I got the best ones Bridgestone makes (within reason).
