Angry Window motor replacement - Very sketchy DUBLIN CA NiSSAN DEALER!

Update 9/25

I received a quote from Dublin Nissan (CA) to replace my drivers side window motor for a total $401.78 ($217 labor, $183 window motor + tax). I decided to have them perform a "diagnostic" which they told me they would pull the door off and perform various tests. I left the car there all day and they couldn't replicate the window staying down, thus they didn't pull the door apart. They didn't charge me $145 for the non-existent diagnostic (better not have). They said the window HAD to be replicated for them to pull the door apart and diagnose. They were 99% confident the motor had to be replaced based on banging the door panel to get it work.

Second, the part number they were replacing it with was 80731-CD001 which is (supposedly) the older part number. Why would i replace it with the same part? The best is they said to replace the window motor it would cost $500 + tax. I immediately toldl them I received a previous quote of $401.78 and 3 mins later he came back and stated they will honor the $401.78 and not the $500. Huge red flags are being raised at this point.

I told them to not do ANYTHING and I would pick up the car immediately and would not be charged. I will be calling Nissan Consumer affairs and confirm which Nissan OEM window part should be used.

In the mean time...I will be using the ghetto a$$ hitting the inside panel trick on my $40k Z trick until I figure out my next steps....

this turned out to be more of a blog and rant then something constructive...someone should make a 350Z movie with all the problems they have and put it on youtube. Everyone should email the link to Nissan and have a good laugh how they dont acknowledge any problems and their product is normal for a car of its class.

I have a 2004 (45k miles) and am having my drivers side window looked at by my local dealer (it was down, had to bang the door panel). If they replace the window motor I would like it to be the latest oem "upgrade" (assuming there is one available). I think I just answered my own question but I will share! Per Hayward Nissan (CA) part department:

The newest window part number is: 80731-CD00A (driver side)
The previous window part number was: 80731-CD001 (driver side)

The next task is to confirm that 80731-CD00A is, in fact, the newer version...
