Ok i drove to florida and back to NYC no problem last month. Now all of a sudden this past 2 weeks only sometimes when i go to put the car in fifth it grinds and the clutch can be depressed all the way and it will still grind sometimes. its an 04 just over 30k i need to know if this means i will need a new Tranny? Also my engine seems a little louder and i dont know how i could tell if there is bent valves or something. and my tranny rattles all the time

Is it still under warranty? Take it to the dealer. I had tranny issues on an 04 with only 21000 on it.I dont have a warranty do to my mods, and it cost me $2100 to fix.

At highway speed, push in the clutch and shift back and forth from 5 to 6 repeatedly. If it grinds, take it to the dealer ASAP. Insist on tranny version "009". The dealer may try and give you an 008. Don't accept it.

I've been through this 5 times myself. The 009 seems to have solved the problem.

^^^I have heard that too.

One thing I have learned about cars is to never prolong a problem because if may cause another bigger problem.
