Drivers side window continues the chaos...
I have an 03 Touring. The driver window just stopped working one day, I never heard the motor labor or make any odd sounds. Every once in a blue moon it has rolled down, and then I was able to roll it back up. Once back up, it rarely came back down. Totally intermittent functionality.
Last week it went down, I rolled it up, it rolled it self down... and this continued for a while.
Now it's down and not moving. The switch clicks and nothing happens. I have a feeling it might be an electrical problem as even the keyfob when I held down the unlock button, only the passenger window would roll down. I assume the remote command is translated independent of the switch.
I really want to fix this but I don't have a whole ****ing day to leave my car so they can take my door apart and claim it was the motor. I dunno.. it sure opens and closes fine, and sounds fine, when it actually works.
Anybody ever hear of anything similar? What could I do to fix this? I have some directions on how to reset the motor, but I don't know if this is the problem.

Have you tried cleaning the motor/regulator?
I don't want to hijack your thread, but my problem similar, so hopefully someone can answer both our questions:
I just got home from work, and noticed that when I opened/close the driver's side door, the window wasn't raising that last little bit to seal, or coming down when the door was opened. I know my passenger side motor is slowly on its way out, and will eventually have to be replaced, but I've never had a prob with the drivers side, and it's shown no signs of wear (sorta like the OP's window).
I opened the door and actually rolled the window back down, then back up, and now everythings working perfectly. Is this a regulator problem, or a motor problem in its beginning stages (my passenger window has never done this)? Any advice for the OP and I?

Thanks for the link stereoneeds.
I think I am going to just order a new motor and replace the whole thing vs. cleaning it out. If I take that whole door apart and put it back together and it happens again within 2 years I'd cut someone.

Hahahaha I just went out to my car for the hell of it.. and got in closed the door and punched it... then it totally rolled up I heard it whine and go up.. and then whine again when it got to the top. See... punching electronics can be useful. I wish I had known to punch it two days ago when in started raining on my ***!
My ghetto *** Mitsu eclipse with 122K miles still had the original window motors, never an issue. Boo on Nissan for this horses#!t!

Seriously all you need to do is clean it and follow what that thread says
Mine got to the point where yours is right now....that every time I shut the door it made some weird screatching noise. I just cleaned it and it works perfectly no need to waste your money man.
