Default Outside Temp Wrong

I searched, but could not find anything quickly on this, so here goes. If there is a link, please point me that way.

The outside tempature reading on the computer of the car is not reading correctly. An example is this morning. After being in the car for about 5 minutes the computer said the outside temp was 66 degrees, but the tempature at the bank and at the Starbucks I go to said it was 49 degrees. How do I recalibrate the computer to read the correct, or close to correct tempature?

Plus or minus a couple of degrees would not bother me, but you are talking about 17 degrees. That’s too much. And no the ambient temperature computer is not user adjustable.

Can the computer be reset? If so, how?

Are you driving around when reading this temp diff? The sensor is mounted right in front of the radiator where the hood latch is located. If you are stopped or driving slowly, the heat (hot air) from the engine compartment can easily raise the temp in that area.

Mine was located behind my intercooler and read a good 10-15 degrees off from another Z. We relocated and now I'm about getting about 3 degrees warmer than another Z.
