03 350z Thuds or Rod rattling in rear passenger side
Hey everybody, I could really use your help. I recently noticed that there are weird noises coming from the rear passenger side of my Z. The only way I could describe it is that it sounds like the car is bottoming out when going over a dip in the road or if there are shallow dips or bumps and at lower speeds, say under 25mph, it sounds like there is a rod rattling or something, kind of like when a shock isn't bolted completely to the body of the car and is moving around from the impacts of the road, just not as loud, pretty feint actually. As soon as the noises started I double checked all the suspension parts in the area and everything looked and checked out fine. I then thought it might be the jack or tow hook in the back so I removed those and the noises did seem to lighten but not completely go away. Now I've been driving for a few weeks with it and it doesn't seem to be getting worse but it does drive me insane sometimes when I had a bad day and don't feel like hearing loud noises that sound like my suspension is going to break off. It also seems to come and go, once in awhile it will just sound normal, by normal I mean how it would sound if I ran over the same bump or dip with the driver's side instead of the passenger's side. For everyone's information I have the Nismo S-Tune suspension installed with stock swaybars. Of course I know the Z is a noisy car, but are these sounds normal? And does anyone else have or had this problem? Any help would be much appreciated guys. Thanks
