Default Window motor and regulator parts

Hi all,

Lots of useful info on this site.. looks like plenty of people have experienced the same problem I currently have; sorry if I've missed anything in my search through existing posts.

My passenger side window's buggered.
A couple weeks ago it started playing up, getting stuck halfway up.. Tapping on the door panel from the inside was enough to unstick it. Then a couple days ago it stuck down and wouldn't go back up.

Nissan service stuffed around with it for an afternoon and said I had to replace the motor and regulator, that these had to be done together (otherwise the motor would burn out soon after), and that it'd be AUD900 (AUD720 parts / AUD 180 labour).
As it currently stands, the window is again operational, though if I close it in the auto mode it oversteps at fully closed and drives back down again (didn't do that prior to service).

The car's an 03 350z roadster. Can anyone suggest a place online (or otherwise) that I can get parts less expensively than getting them through Nissan here in Australia.. Sounds like ppl on here are saying they've paid about $240+$180 for the motor and reg, which would be much better than the AUD720 (USD650) for the same. am keen to try and fix it myself as it doesn't sound as difficult as they're trying to make me believe (they said the service guy took a couple hours to get the door panel off as this was pretty tricky - sounds like bs to me). thanks.

Ok, so have sourced the motor (part #80731-CD001) at USD150 on eBay..

Nissan service told me the part number for the regulator was 80721-CD010 and it was only available from Japan (for AUD280).
Can't seem to find it anywhere online.

Any suggestions on that one?

Cheers

I believe someone here said they picked theirs up at Autozone awhile back for much cheaper than the dealership. Checked their website out. You might be able to order the parts through them..

I just replaced mine myself also. Not too hard. Took me about an hour with some distractions like the girl next store washing her car.... anyway I ordered the part from West Covina Nissan here in Southern Cali. and they sell them for about 180 i believe. It is a really good price considering the dealer a mile away wanted 240 for the part and another 200 for install. But ebay is a great place to look for these window motors. even West Covina Nissan Sells them on ebay.
