hey thanks a lot crg914... very true evaluation... i think i will take the car in and see what we can do... i will print out what u typed and tell them that this might be a possibility. hope i can get this all taken care of by monday... its not the TPS on the TB i know that for sure cause i have already replaced that one yesterday and the issue is still there... ur right tho, throwing parts at the car didnt fix a thing.

That's fine. My scenario was purely an example of something that has a possibility of being wrong, and is in no way a diagnosis. I do driveability everyday but it's hard to do without the car present. Just a disclaimer, I don't want you to get the idea that I magically know what's wrong from a short description I read. I'm not that good......yet Just kidding.

With regards to the sensor on the pedal, I know GM used to have a big problem with those going bad from people getting in the car on rainy days with wet, muddy shoes. I don't personally own a Z, so I'm unsure of the placement of the sensor, but this could be a potential failure point.

If you have a DMM, you could try and troubleshoot that way. Backprobe the sensor. Reference should be 5V (or damn close), ground should be <.1V, and signal should change from 0.5V-4.8V. You can do this KOEO (Key On Engine Off) so you're not revving the **** out of you engine.

Just some things to try that might actually lead you to a proper diagnosis.

Cheers

do you happen to have aftermarket LED tail lights??

i put them in my car and this happened, i spent over 2000 bucks to try and fix it and apparently its the LED tail lights, they were sending to muhc voltage to the engine or something, so if u have them take them out and put reg tail lights in ...lmk if that was the case

just wanted to update everyone on the issue, this might help others....
ok since the car was going into limp mode i have taken it to nissan, they could not find the issue.... replaced the typhoon with the stock box... the issue was still there... put back on the typhoon... no changes... the CEL was still saying that the issue was the throttle body... i even replaced the TB and the issue was still there...

HERE IS HOW THE ISSUE WAS SOLVED about 2-3 weeks ago... i took the car to some no-name mechanic out in the hood about 15 miles away from my house. there name of the guys shop is JESUS's AUTO MECHANIC's ( maybe a little play on words going on here) the guy working on the car was the owner of the shop "Jesus" who spoke very little English, Hispanic background ... he pluggd into the 0bd2 and said that i need to leave the car for a few and he will see what he can do... i get a call about 2 hours later telling me that the car is fixed... now at this time im LMAO like," wtf ever... fixed!?! sure, right, i bet" hahaha im laffing so hard, talkinjg to my friends, we are all being completely sarcastic. i just knew i was going to drive her down the street and i would have to coast it back to the shop once limp again...

i get in, turn the key, pull out of the parking lot, drive it till the motor warms a bit then go full throttle. about 6-8 minuets after the car was put under a heavy load ITS STILL RUNNING, i turn the car off, start it back up, STILL RUNS!!! wow... speechless

now 1,000 miles later the car is still running with no issues...

here is what the issue was... he said that there was a fuse that was blown and i had a dirty relay that needed to be cleaned... he didnt charge me a dime to fix the issues. said it took him less then 10 mins.

bill from nissan: $480
refabd throttle body: $180
total spent on tow trucks: $247
trusting in Jesus: PRICELESS

there is no replacement for experience. All the tech books, guides, computers can't replace it. People just become dependent on them.
