I have a 2005 Z and have been experiencing howling coming from the rear differential between 40-50 mph. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have it at the dealer now and to say the least I am not very impressed with Nissan's warranty service so far. I seem to know more about rear differentials then they do...

 

Its not unusual. How long have you been driving the Z? Is this a recent development?

 

Well, I bought the car with 10k miles on it and noticed it a few days after I bought it.

 

change fluids, go to some high tech synthetic fluid for the diff. and the tranny/gear box.

 

My Quaife made the same noise in my Evo 8. Sure you have a stock diff?
