Default building a custom turbo

does anyone know where i can find a comprehensive list on the parts i need to get to build a turbo kit. i want to compare if its cheaper to get the parts as i go along used or from ebay and i want to attempt to do it myself along with some help from friends

You probably ought to read through the posts in the Forced Induction forum here. That will give you an idea of how difficult it is to get a professionally designed and engineered FI kit to work safely and reliably.

I don't think there is such a book as "Turbo for Dummies". I believe you or your friends would have to be an automotive genius to build a custom turbo setup from scratch.
