the guage says im getting 1.4 miles per gallon
a while ago it was saying 0.1 mpg
but has gradually gone up since then
i know im not getting bad mileage
anybody kno what the problem could b?

 

I would try resetting the ECU by disconnecting your negative battery lead and letting it sit overnight. Go around the block in the morning and see if it's cleared up.

 

If you reset the MPG then it will take 50+ miles to start averaging out the correct mileage. If you reset it, it is going off of 0 miles. If you are not moving or accelerating initially after the reset, it will register extremely low until it gets enough miles to get an accurate average.
