Default Windows automatically go down???

Hi all~~!!!

I just fix my window grease problem from Nissan Dealer.
It seems find (there is no grease).
The windows are goes down little automatically when the doors are openned. But I found one weird thing. When I try to close the window completely with the door open, but it won't let me do that. Before I fix the window grease problem, I think the windows were closed completely even though the doors were openned. (but I'm not sure)
Is this normal? or Nissan dealer did wrong?
(I wondering how do I get tint job on the windows
if the windows do not close up completely? That means I have to
remove the door pannel.)

Also do you hear the clicking sound from the window up/down button when you close the door?

Do your Z do this too? Please reply....

Thank You

John.

If I understood you correctly, the windows arent closed all the way when doors are opened. That is because when you close the door the windows seal themselves inside the jam of the car. To make it airtight per say. So to fix the said problems, I took door panels off. I think it is the only way to do it. If there is any other opinions please post.

Although it may not be the preferred way, I've seen successful tint jobs without taking off the panels. They take a plastic scraper-looking tool, push the rubber window seal downward into the door area (normally it sticks upward), and, when tinting, just make sure it is pressed down into the door as far as possible.

After it drys and the window is operated, everything resets and it works pretty well, to my knowledge. If others know better, please post.

Thanks,
WayneTN

The normal operation of the window is to stay down about 1/2" when the door is open. If you want to make it go up the rest of the way just push in on the switch in the door jamb. I do this to wash the whole window. Just don't close the door with the window all the way up.

Yup. Just as a reference, if you push on your unlock button on your alarm for 5 seconds your windows will go down while you hold the button. Cool little trick.
