After reading a lot of threads, i learned Z has very noisy trans. One day after drove my friend's Mustang Codra, i feel my 07 Z 's (7400miles) shifter Rattles like coffee grinder. The mustang was a lot of smoother. Anyone has same problem? thanks!

 

this is normal for the Z, particular to Nissans in general.

We have been replacing some shifter ***** on the 07's for a rattle. Not the trans noise but actually from the shifter.

 

curious:So replacing the shift **** will reduce the rattle?

 

On the ones that are having a rattle from the shift **** it fixes it. If it's not the **** then it won't help. Take it to the dealer and have them look at it.

 

I already took it to dealer, guess that they say? I think everyone know the answer aleady.

 

drive without the shift **** to see it rattle less ... mine does .. im looking for a shift now .. Tim, can you recommend ? thx
