Default 60K miles maintenance service

So, today I took my car to the dealer for my 1st oil change since I bought the car (03 base, 69K) two weeks ago. The dealer recommends new belt which I am getting it done on the 18th. Now, they also suggested that I should do the 60K miles maintenance service since it wasn't done at 60K. Now, my question would be to you, should I do the service maintenance? Dealer wants $399. What are they going to replace/update in this maintenance? I also have 100k mile warranty (paperwork in mail). Should I do the maintenance or just save the money since my car is running pretty nice? thanks

I'm in the same kind of position here in central FL. I bought an 04 w/24000 mi. and I need to do the 30k service. But the dealer here is being very cool about the whole thing. The total service is around $400 but since I do all kinds of my own service that's a part of their 30k package, they won't do that for me. And they'll reduce the cost to around $280. I'm having them do the coolant flush/exchange, new belts, and transmission fluid. Plus all the "included inspections."

I do my own oil (Amsoil & Nissan filters) my own brakes, wipers, and K&N air filter.

I haven't checked into the list for the 60k service but it's worth being safe and getting fluids and wear parts done as recommended. See if they won't cut you a break for the things you do yourself.

60,000 mile service should be done at 60,000 miles.
What is it? Check your manual.
No manual? Get one at Courtesy Nissan.

Find a non-dealer mechanic and have the 60k service done. Period.
