wiring mess

My car won't start. I started checking it over and eventually had to replace the fuse system on the passenger side behind the battery (I forgot what it's called, but it's an abbreviation). It was bad causing the car to not turn over and the e-fans to constantly run with the key on. After we replaced that it still wouldn't start. I checked and didn't get any fuel pressure. From there I checked and found power to the fuel pump fuse. Next I went to check power at the connector at the fuel pump. I was getting nothing there. So my thoughts are that it has to be the wiring between the fuse box I replaced and the fuel pump. Any ideas how to find the break if it's in the wire? Anybody know what connector pin the fuel pump is on the fuse box under the kick panel? Just need any thoughts or help to try to get it fixed. Thanks.
Sounds like you replaced the IPDM. There isn't much to the circuit for the fuel pump. IPDM-relay-fuse-pump. If the fuse and relay are good and you are still not getting any power at the pump then start tracing wiring. Not fun but good luck. Just a hint. The fuse for the fuel pump is under the cowl panel on the passenger side behind the battery.

Yep, IPDM is the abbreviation I was trying to recall. The fuse on that for the fuel pump was and is good. The relay should be good since I replaced the IPDM, no? I guess I'll just have to tear it apart and start tracing the wiring.

Okay. I hadn't had much of a chance to work on this lately as I've been working on an Infinity for someone else. I realized I was being ignorant and checking the wires at the fuel level sensor behind the drivers seat. I then started messing with behind the passengers seat and the fuel pump connector has 5 wires; three black with stripes, one yellow, one purple. The purple one was getting power, but the yellow one wasn't. I can't remember about the black ones, I assumed they were grounds, but three grounds doesn't make sense.
Anyway, I figured maybe the yellow got power while on the start position so I checked that. Still no go. I started tracing it and it went back to the fuel level sensor and spliced into a white wire. This was the one I originally found without power. I started tracing and got to the drivers side dash where the big lever held connector is. I undid the connector and checked for power on the matching pin and still didn't get any.
I ran out of time and didn't get to get the top side of the connector off to further trace the wire. Any ideas if this could be what's causing it not to start? Thanks and any help would be great, I hate being stuck driving a Maxima.
