Default Mystery window feature

Sorry if this has been asked 1000 times.

I just bought a 2008 Z. I'm very happy with it. Earlier this evening, I went outside to leave and noticed that both windows were rolled down about 1/3 of the way. Now, it's january in chicago. And it was snowing. Luckily, not much snow made it through the windows. We definitely didn't do this manually.

What happened? I armed the factory alarm like I always do. Is there some feature for hot climates that cracks the windows automatically by holding some key-fob button combination? All I can think is that I triggered some feature accidentally.

Windows do not go up or down on their own.

I think, dont hold me too it! But from what i heard, if you hold unlock button for a while they roll down, or if you put the key in the door and turn it left? they go down... Haha. Some times my car does that. Oops

Default .

You key Fob is like a nintendo, there are special combinations.

Unlock, Unlock, Lock, Unlock, Trunk, Alarm, Unlock - rolls your windows down.

reverse order rolls them up.

OK, seriously though, walk out to your car, hold the unlock button, and watch your windows.

if you hold the unlock button it will roll down the windows. but to roll them up either stick the key in the door and turn it to lock and hold it, or put the key in the ignition and roll them up. even the altima has this feature except for the key in the door to roll them up.

This feature intrigues more people than anything else on the Z. Remarkable when you first find it, isn't it?

Thanks for the info. I'm still not sure how it happened. It was probably either tight pants or an insane 2 year old.
