On the Walmart jacks. Again, I wanted something aluminum and lightweight. I saw the one you are talking about and it weighs about 100lbs.

The Craftsman you went thru? Did you prime them and bleed them before first use?

I have the Craftsman Al 2-ton jack. I wouldn't pay retail for it, bt if you find it on sale for around $160, I'd say it's worth it. I've had mine since 2003, and I've never had an issue. It works well, and the handle on the back of the frame was a nice thought. Just an fyi though, don't leave it, or any of the other Torrin made jacks like the one linked above, sitting upright or the jack fluid will leak out past the piston. I don't know why the design of the Al jacks has this issue, but at the Sears near me, all the jacks are displayed upright and the Al one always leaks fluid while the steel ones do not. I think most people keep their jack on the floor, so this shouldn't be a huge issue.
