Default Gap between window and rubber seal

I finally figured out where the wind noise was coming from- there is some kind of gap between the driver side window and the rubber seal that is located right where my ear is when driving. I found that if I stick my finger through, it either pushes the window out enough or fills a space where the seal is messed up. But there is no visible gap. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions?

Also, sometimes when I turn the air/heat control “OFF” on the far right ****, it stays on and actually kicks into high! WTF? I just got my 03 Z Touring with 58k miles and love it- these are the only issues I’m having.

P.S. I searched the old posts and didn't see these specific topics- sorry if I missed them.

I think it's because you actually turned it all the way down to "auto" and not off. I've done that by mistake a few times.

I've heard if the window thing before. Try rolling it all the way down, then back up and see if that works.

Thanks, but this isn't the case. When you turn the **** on the far right all the way counter clock-wise, it's "off" and "auto" is right above it. So in my case, I have no "off" on my climate control.

And the window gap is there after the window rolls down then up. You can't see it, it's very annoying and frustrating.

Sounds to me that the windows isn't going back up when you close the door. There is a switch in the door frame that rolls the widow down a little when you open the door. That switch could be bad or unhooked. To test it open the door find the switch and push it in, the the window should move up and down. If it doesn't your witch is bad.

Trust me, I know about the windows rolling up and down when you open and close the doors and that's not it- but thanks. It is going all the way up. The gap is between the glass and rubber horizontally, not vertically.

So if you push your finger up between the top of the window and the seal while the window is up, does the wind noise go away? That's what I've been doing, but there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the seal or window being off track. Let me know if you replace the seals if it works and the cost. It's annoying, but I'll just turn the stereo up for now unless anyone knows of a little trick to realign the seals or something.

Sounds like your window is out of adjustment. I don't have my manual with me but I believe there is a way you can fine tune the fit of the window to the seal by an adjustment screw or there may be enough tolerance to move the window where it bolts up to the track assembly.
