Default 07 axle clicking?

Ok just noticed this the other day. I have an 07 touring and have only modified the wheels. I only hear it when I am between 3-7 mph and braking. Not sure what it is. It seems to be more prevalent when I am slowing and turning to the right. I know the earlier models had the fix under warranty but not sure it any one else with an 07 was having the issue.

it is more of a click than a thunk.

What you describe is not typical rear axle clicking.

Make sure your wheel lug nuts are properly torqued first off. Also check to see if something is touching the caliper as you apply the brakes and causing the clicking noise.

my 07 w/ 3500mls is doing the same thing... and I am also getting crazy clutch chatter.. I am already regretting my purchase. If you find out what it is, please let me know. driving around while making these noises is very embarrassing. Funny thing is, is that I don't remember hearing these noises when I drove the damn thing before buying it, yet I'm told the sounds are "normal"-(nissan tech). Has me telling myself.. "you should of bought the sti!"

clutch chatter is most likely your throw out bearing in your clutch system and it IS normal, all 350Z's make it, get used to it. Nissan>Subaru.
