So my car (06 350z, 105xxx)started making a clicking noise, it idles really rough. Like under 1k. Ill rev it pas 3k and it will drop all the way down to the point where it almost dies. It will flash the low oil light. overheating a bit too

I was driving and when i slowed down to turn, the car died and i have to start it back up.

Im really irritated, I put oil in it (5w-30) to see if maybe it would help because i was low on oil. held up on getting an oil change because i've been moving and been broke. So its over due on an oil change. Really everything is over due. I've only had this car for 3-4 months and usually i would of already had the plugs, oil and tune up done, but times have been rough.

Whats wrong?
Bad oil, wrong oil, Fuel Damper, Timing, my life, compression, bad MAF, values, idle reset?

 

How low on oil was the car

 

Not low enough for a oil light. at least a quart. I know 06 are known for oil consumtion. I Checked the dipstick,it was really dark, hard to tell level due to none existent flat service. Check out oil couldn't see any shimmer or sparkle in it. Its not a constant clicking , low idle when i hit 3k/half throttle i get the clicking. I sound like a diesel car or old VW sometimes...

You bought a used sports car that was probably beat on 3 or 4 months ago and you're broke. Sell the car and take it as a life lesson.

Sounds like you have a low oil pressure condition.

An oil change can be as cheap as 15 dollars if you do it yourself. If that is too much, you have bigger issues to tackle.

 

Woah man. That thing is running hella hot too.

 

The first thing to do is pull codes and figure out why this VQ is running in limp mode. You bought a car with a sophisticated diagnostic system- use it!
