Its normal. early articles on the Z said nissan compromised the vibrations for a better performing shifter. Less rubber dampers mean more precise shifting.

the Z is my 3rd Manual Tranny car(2nd Nissan MT Car). While my 1st car didn't have the vibrating shift ****, the 2nd car (a Pathfinder MT and the current Z all have vibrating *****). No real problem though.

Maybe I'm just insensitive (that's what my girlfriend says) but I don't notice any more vibration in my 350's shift **** than my previous cars.

The vibrating of the shift **** is normal, any manual would have this, don't know bout European cars, but my friends S2000, Type R, WRX, even the Skylines I see in DVD, all of their shift **** vibrates. So there is nothing to worry bout, unless you are talkin bout Vibrating so badly that you can't even hold it in place....
