Default Tire Pressure Sensor

just wondering how the pressure sensors work because I have a nail in my left rear tire, so i know that specific tire is losing pressure, but the sensors said it was my right front. do the sensors go inside the tire?...i'm the second owner of the car and the previous owner put on some aftermarket wheels all the same size so that he could rotate them. i'm sure that has something to do with it....???

Yeah, the sensors are the valve stems. He probably rotated and did not keep the sensors in place.

Easiest way to keep track, drop the air in one tire, go for a quick ride and see which tire the sensor lost air. Rinse and repeat.

A dealership can reprogram, but they are most likely going to charge you.

Whenever one of my sensors says I'm low, I go and check all of them anyhow, so position never really mattered to me.
