white smoke
Just read through all the old threads on this and just wanted to see if anyone had any insight on my particular car. i checked it today to see if my car was doin the white smoke out the exhaust today and sure enough it was. i had left it alone outside today cause it was raining all day and its 60F out. started it up and got just very faint to no white smoke as soon as i reved it above say 2500rpms i got some white smoke. i thought it was just because of the moisture in the air and the cold. Drove for 10mins came back revved it again and got no smoke. i didnt get any smoke at WOT during the drive just some when coming from a stop to a rolling start and not like a huge cloud, i could only see it out the side mirror just barely coming around the rear bumper. so i let the car sit for 45mins went outside and it started doin it again. am i just being overcautious to this cause i have seen other peoples stories or is something wrong? my coolant level is about an inch above the min line. i took a video after i had it sit for 45mins and turned it over again. again it has been raining all day and its 60F outside.

just went back out and checked it again since i made the video. had a buddy stand behind the car as i turned it over and revved it, got nothing so seems as though its just a cold and moisture thing. incidentally it also wasnt raining when i tried it this time. He has test pipes on his Z and told me his does the same thing every morning when its cold. so im gonna say normal unless anyone thinks differently
i had the same problem i installed test pipes and started getting white smoke, not when i was wot but only when i was slowing down are taking off. I checked the coolant to make sure that wasnt it an that was fine. The forums all told me it was my test pipes that wasnt it, so i checked my oil level an i was a little bit low, so i took it to the dealer and turned out i had burnt piston rings. this may not be your problem i was just sharing mine so maybe keep a eye on your oil level but i know test pipes do usually smoke a little and since it was raining that may just me it and the smoke was white the turned to a slight blueish after bout 3 weeks
They smoke some sh... .
If the condition are right, your car will smoke white.
The catalitic exhausteis the maine reason for it.
Do not worry.
Unless we talking of a cloud of white smohe.
then head gasket...................... .

Thank God for the search...well I'm having the same problem but I had regular test pipes from SGP and now replaced them with resonated ones to cut the rasp noise..all is well with the noise but now I'm getting white smoke when I accelerate hard and when I come to a stop..after I took it to an outside shop they told me that it's the head cover on the passenger side is bad so I replaced it and when they removed the plenum to get to it there was lots of oil in the plenum that going into the engine.
The smoke went away for couple of day but now is back the same way its all oils smoke that you can see and smell.
What could be the problem??
I'm taking the car to the shop first thing in the morning for them to look at it again..
Please help me

I put back the stock test pipes and the car sounds and responds better and no noticable smoke yet..I'll keep an eye on it and hope it works fine..
