Default Fuel Guage messed up...

I saw a thread that there was a TSB for 03's and maybe other models but I have an 07. Now take a look, I will post before and after pics. I'm going to bring it in on friday to get it looked at so I took pics to show them. At 21mpg, its still saying my range is 249 miles. If I had a full tank then I would get at least 420 miles at that rate.

I have the same issue with my 03 track. However, mine is much worse... When i fill my tank, I can only get in around 15-16 gallons and the needle will not go to Full. It will drop from the 3/4 mark to Empty within 1 day. Then the needle doesn't move from Empty until I fill the car again. I spend about 4 or5 days a week with
---- dte flashing in my face.

This is a known issue with the cars. There is TSB write up for the filling problem with the air bypass valve in the tank.

I spoke to a dealership here, and they stated that this is not a recall. However, if you still have warranty, you should have it covered under that. it doesn't prohibit the car from driving, just a pita to keep track of mileage by the tripometer until i get this fixed. Won't be cheap considering i'm out of warranty and it's not a recall.

Hope this helps. There are quite a few past threads on it.

So what part of the warranty covers the fuel gauge? I have an '05 enthusiast and my fuel gauge is retarded right now..... I had 1/2 tank this morning... Then when I went to leave work the fuel light was on and the needle was on "E"..... WTF???
