Hey fellas I was changing my spark plugs and it was going well....on the passenger side spark plug closest to the windshield....there's this hose that goes right over it....well i figured i can remove the part that the hose is connected to for an easier removal and installation of the new spark plug. But as i started removing the screws from this part, liquid started to leak...so i quickly seal it back, finished my spark plug installation with out having to move it....so started the car then that part started leaking again....so i thought i didn't tighten it enough and begin to tighten it again and the screw snapped
so my question is what is this part and what is the liquid coming out of it? (I think its fuel?)......and any suggestions on the fix....Stealership or other shops perhaps.....thanks guys.

its a fuel line... you mostlikly need a new O ring. the rubber orings in the fuel fittings are liquid activated they expand when they touch fuel so when you took it out it mustof broke or came out and no longer usable. so try your local autozone or something if you can find out what size the ring is.
if not you can order this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Fuel-...spagenameZWDVW
and plug the extra branch

This is all thanks to this forum and its members! My Z is back to normal!

This is the damage I had done:

I lucked out on the stuck bolt...I removed the 2 bolts perpendicular to the fuel damper and started twisting from the bottom with my little hands...and started twisting from the top:

Used one of my grounding kits bolts for the missing bolt til the special order bolt comes in from nissan....they don't carry it in stock...i found that weird:

Cost in new O-ring = $3.78
Missing bolt = Free
Removing stuck bolt = Luck (small fingers)
Knowing how to do all this = 0

i know this thread is old but advice to the ratchet lovers.
When you tighten a bolt and you dont have a torque wrench or you dont know the torque specs, Hand tighten the bolt and then use a wrench or ratchet and turn the bolt 90 degrees. Anymore than that can cause damage. Thats a general rule but may not work everytime.
