Default Question about flywheel torx bolts.

I just removed my clutch and flywheel, and the directions that I followed and the nissan service book all talked about needing to remove t55 torx bolts to remove the flywheel. My flywheel was not held in by torx bolts but regular 14 mm bolts. I am just curious if anyone knows why it would have a regular 14 mm bolt when the service manual shows Torx.

I've had my transmission replaced under warranty and a nismo flywheel installed about 3 years ago. Should there be any concern with sticking to the regular 14 mm bolts that were already there?

I have never seen anything other than regular bolts used, but than again I have never crawled under the Z specifically and checked the flywheel....

Just make damn sure there are good (large)washers being used.

We tried installing the JWT flywheel yesterday morning and ran into a huge problem, the bolts that were used on the Nismo are not long enough for the JWT. I don't know why they would have used different bolts...

These are the bolts that were installed on my flywheel

These are the bolts that are referenced in the service manual.

The ones that were holding the nismo on aren't long enough for the JWT.
