Default Coolant Problem

Ok so when i drive my car after a little bit the temp soars and the fans are not coming on all the time!!??? the upper radiator hose is very warm at shutdown but the lower one is still barley warm to the touch!!!! i had a coolant hose pop off the other day it was the one to the oil filter.. i put it back on and ran into that problem... is it just air in the system and i should just work it out by bleeding it with the bleed valve??

HELP PLEASE...

Yup, sounds like air in the system. It take a little more effort then just the bleeder valve. Check the bottom of this page...

http://crackaddict.com/~flynn/howtos...amco.howto.htm

There's a section on how to properly fill then bleed the system.

OK ----The top hose is the route of the hot water out of the engine. Then it is sent back to the engine via the bottom hose. The lower should be cooler, because it has been cooled via radiator. If your top hose is hot the thermo it allowing water to enter it ---Its opening. Bleed it. Just takes 5 minutes to cover your butt. DON'T go overboard on antifreeze. Distilled water and maybe a quart plus antifreeze and Redline water wetter. Replace the fan sensor if you have probs after that
