Constant Pass Rear Wheel Click..
Need your tech savvy for a sec... Im getting a consistent clicking sound coming from my rear passenger wheel only. Its not the TSB rear axle click when starting because I fixed that.
Its sounds like on a bicycle every wheel revolution causes a click.. click.. click... I can only really hear it when Im next to a car or a wall or something. Any ideas? Damn annoying daily driver issues.
The wheel is tight/ my spacer is tight. I dont have slotted rotors or anything. Im running Hawk HPS Pads but have had them for like 7 months now.

If it sounds like metal clinking around it could be a bearing i had the same problem for a while. the sound started off pretty subtle so i figured i jus needed new brake pads and as the noise grew more and more annoying and i removed the wheel i found out it was the bearing

Thanks for the help guys.. Actually took the wheel/spacer off and made sure nothing was rubbing... Checked the tire and nothing. Frustrated put everything back on super air gun tight and now no more click. Obviosuly something was loose. Scary!

I wonder the same thing...my 03 has the same problem as the OP!
ok, just called my local nissan and they quoted this:
"we charge 100 to bring it in for inspection, then at least 1 hour for our technicians to test drive it and put it on air to test, blah blah blah..."
Then I asked:"what if we already know what the problem is and just want to get it fixed?"
He said:"If you just want me to replace the rear differentiate(SP) then it's 79.95 plus tax"
hope this helps!

TSB's are not covered like a recall is. The warranty will only cover it if the part getting repaired is still covered under warranty. The axle clicking is covered by powertrain warranty 5yr/60k.

I took mine in to get the "click" fixed and it still does it(He told me the service dept greased everything up). Are there any long term effects of not fixing this? Will it ever come to a point where I need something replaced and not just greased? I have a bumper to bumper warrenty on the car for about 83 more days so I want to get as much fixed as possible before the cash starts coming out of my own pocket. Any subtle yet common things I should look out for?
